Joint MBA/MS in Applied Data Science program

Program Requirements (1200 units required for degree completion)
- For students admitted prior to Autumn 2024:
- Foundational courses (4 courses – Zero Unit)
- Core Courses (7 courses – 100 Units each)
- Electives (3 courses – 100 Units each)
- Capstone Project (2 courses – 100 Units each)
- For students admitted Autumn 2024 and beyond:
- Foundational courses (4 courses) – Optional
- Core Courses (6 courses – 100 Units each)
- Electives (4 courses – 100 Units each)
- Capstone Project (2 courses – 100 Units each)
- Career Seminar Requirement (Zero Units)

Career Seminar Series (Non-Credit, Required)
Increasingly, employers demand data scientists and analytics professionals who are not only technically excellent but also superior collaborators, reliable communicators, ethical problem-solvers, and more. To ensure that our graduates remain as top candidates in the job market, we provide tailored support through our required, multi-quarter Career Seminar. The Seminar is designed to counter-balance students’ time commitments in other courses.

*Students with significant, relevant full-time work experience may be eligible to waive this requirement.
