Join the MS in Applied Data Science Alumni Board
The MS in Applied Data Science Alumni Board works to connect, celebrate, and represent our program’s alumni community around the world. Our Alumni Board provides alumni volunteer leadership by advising and supporting meaningful alumni engagement that connects our program’s alumni to one another, the program, and the University of Chicago.

Alumni Scholars
The Alumni Scholars program is designed to give applied data science scholars who obtained their MS in Applied Data Science (formerly MS in Analytics) degree from our program the opportunity to enroll in two additional course electives. This allows our Alumni the unique opportunity to grow their knowledge in the rapidly evolving field of data science while building collaborative relationships with faculty and other classmates.
To participate in the Alumni Scholars program, the following will apply:
- Participation is restricted to graduates of the MS in Applied Data Science program.
- Participation is restricted to courses within the MS in Applied Data Science curriculum.
- You must meet all prerequisites to the course prior to registering online.
- The Alumni Scholars benefit cannot be applied towards non-credit short courses.
Performance will be graded, and students are expected to complete all coursework with a grade of B- or higher.
Tuition Rate (Tuition is subject to change)
$2,500.00 per MS in Applied Data Science course.

Please apply at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the quarter to ensure your application is processed.
Course Selection
Note, course enrollment is based upon availability after current MS in Applied Data Science students have enrolled.
Become a Teaching Assistant (TA)
We are always looking for ways for our alumni to contribute their knowledge and wisdom in data science to our current students. One opportunity to accomplish this would be to become a TA for one of our current courses.
