PSD Dean’s Student Advisory Committee (DSAC)

The PSD Dean’s Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) is comprised of one graduate student representative from each program in the PSD, faculty Deputy Deans, and the Dean of Students. Our MS in Applied Data Science PSD DSAC representative for the 2023-2024 academic year will be James McKenzie, a part-time, in person student within our program.

James is a Vice President at J.P. Morgan within the Global Investment Office. Throughout 8 years at J.P. Morgan, James has supported daily trading operations and is responsible for investing activities for the J.P. Morgan Donor Advised Fund programs. Prior to joining the firm, James worked as a consultant at Goldman Sachs and a taxable bond trader at Regions Investment Management.

Motivated by the rise in analytics within capital markets, James opted to pursue an MS in Applied Data Science in 2022. On track to finish Autumn 2024, James makes regular appearances at the NBC Tower throughout the week. James earned an MBA from Loyola University Chicago and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi.

Please contact James at jamckenzie@uchicago.edu with any ideas, questions, or concerns that you think should be brought to DSAC, and he will raise them during the quarterly committee meetings.

More information on the PSD DSAC is available on the PSD site.
