PSD Dean’s Student Advisory Committee (DSAC)

The PSD Dean’s Student Advisory Committee (DSAC) is comprised of one graduate student representative from each program in the PSD, faculty Deputy Deans, and the Dean of Students. Our MS in Applied Data Science PSD DSAC representative for the 2024-2025 academic year will be Ariel Azria, a part-time, in-person student within our program.

Ariel is a dedicated data professional pursuing an MS in Applied Data Science at the University of Chicago while working full-time at BNY’s Wealth Chief Data Office. In her role, Ariel employs machine learning algorithms and large datasets to address complex problems and deliver strategic AI solutions to increase revenue. She began her career at Goldman Sachs, where she first honed her skills in leveraging data to drive meaningful results.

A native New Yorker, Ariel is fluent in both French and English, with conversational proficiency in German. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with a bachelor in Political Science and a focus in survey research and data analytics. Outside of work, Ariel enjoys reading, exploring cities with friends, and landscape photography.

Please contact Ariel at azria@uchicago.edu with any ideas, questions, or concerns that you think should be brought to DSAC, and she will raise them during the quarterly committee meetings.
